Choose a visit template

A visit template sets the sections and format of the note aflow writes. You can pick one before you record, switch after the note is generated, and choose which templates your team sees.

Pick a template before you record

aflow suggests a template based on the appointment's visit type. Its name appears in the Scribe card, above Start recording.

1. Select Change template.
2. In the Choose template list, select the template you want. A check mark shows your pick.
3. Select Start recording.

aflow remembers your choice for that visit type in this browser, so it's preselected next time. If you don't see Change template, only one template is enabled for your organization.

Switch templates after the note is generated

You can regenerate the note from the same recording with a different template.

1. At the top of the note, find the Template row and select Change.
2. Select the template you want.
3. aflow asks Regenerate entire note? Select Regenerate note.

Regenerating replaces the current note, and any edits you made are lost. Switch templates before you start editing. After you push a note to your EHR, you can't change its template.

Choose which templates your team sees

The template list shows the templates enabled for your organization. To change it:

1. Open the menu at the top left of the side panel and select Template library. You can also select Manage Template Library at the bottom of the Choose template list.
2. To add a template, select Enable next to it under Available to enable.
3. To remove a template, select the X next to it under Enabled for your org. At least one template must stay enabled.

Select a template's name to see its sections. Changes apply to everyone in your organization.

• Gold standard: aflow's recommended template for that visit type, built and maintained by the aflow clinical team.
• Custom: a template made for your organization.
